Introducing Junior Team Golf

What to Expect

We are excited to announce that this year we will begin a new tradition here at Knollwood Country Club.  This will mark our first season hosting Junior Team Golf.  Junior Team Golf will consist of one weekly practice along with a 9-hole match on Saturday afternoons.  Two to four coaches will be present at all practices as well as matches to provide as much one-on-one training as possible. 

This program is best suited for Junior Golfers with prior playing experience.  Beginners will find more benefit in our 2-week Junior Camps or our Saturday Junior Clinics.  We will host 3 home matches and 3 away matches at local golf courses around South Bend, along with one trip to Plymouth to play Swan Lake. 

There will be 3 separate ages groups, and we will mix boys and girls.  There will be two teams of four for each age group.  Each Team Member will be fitted with a Knollwood hat and shirt to be worn at matches and to practice.  Matches will be scramble format and will be played from a special set of Junior Team Tees.  Spectator carts will be available for anyone who wants to follow along with the matches for $20.

Ages  8 to 11  Boys and Girls Mixed       Junior Tees

Ages  12 to 14  Boys and Girls Mixed    Gold Tees

Ages  15 to 18  Boys and Girls Mixed     White Tees

Cost, Sign Ups, & Equipment

$499 per player  -  Includes team hats and shirts, green fees if applicable, and all lessons and instruction costs.

Please ensure all Team Members are signed up by Sunday, May 3rd to allow for adequate time for hats and shirts to be ordered.  Hats and shirts will be in for our first match. 

Each team member will need their own set of golf clubs and all the equipment needed for a round of golf.  Please be sure to send them with water or sports drinks.

Schedule

Practice will be from 5 to 6:30 on Tuesday afternoons

Location – Knollwood driving tee and practice green

Parents are encouraged to stay and watch practice

Matches will begin at 3:30 on Saturday afternoons until their conclusion
